For in her morning orisons she loved the sun and the sun loved her.
For she was of the tribe of Tiger.
For the Cherub Cat is a term of the Angel Tiger.
For she had the subtlety and hissing of a serpent, which in goodness she suppressed.

De-lurking to add my condolences. I hope she enjoyed her butterflies to the very last.
Pretty close to it. She was okay in the morning, and spent time sitting in the window; but then there was another episode of struggling to breathe, and all things considered, Sir John decided it was time to let her go. She was his favorite, so it was his call to make. We were relieved that the crisis came quickly and that she had so recently apparently been enjoying herself.
Quickly is good, and I’m very glad for her pleasant morning in the window. But poor Sir John…
